I updated the emoticons installed on the site. I like the new ones and (as contradictory as this sounds) I welcome out new servbot masters. That is all.

Around actually. I recently started a new job doing the website for a local attorney running for congress. Also, I’ve been totally sucked into Valkyria Chronicles. If you were to put this game and Final Fantasy Tactics in PS1/2 controller terms, FFT would be the D-pad and Valkyria Chronicles would be the analog stick. Instead of the grid from FFT, you have a stamina bar and you can move anywhere you want until said stamina bar runs out. Also instead of swords and magic, you have WW2 era guns and tanks.
I’ve also been dabbling in 3D Dot Game Heroes where I’ve designed my hero to look like the Vic Viper from Gradius. Doctor Dic had an urgent message for me. It said, “Dash Boots Get! You can now run by holding Square.” The only thing missing from the scene was the Megaman boss weapon GET music. There have also been a few references to Demon’s Soul already as well.
These two games are slowly reminding me why I loved Playstation last gen.
Also, I leave you with this amazing gem.

So in what I assume to be a last hurrah for Final Fantasy XI, SE is releasing both a new add-on (conveniently split into three parts for your wallet squeezing pleasure) and increasing the level cap to the Final Fantasy staple of 99. I can assume this means two things. It will take about a billion xp to get that far and someone will do it within a week.

This is a game I’ve been waiting for for about 4-5 years now. I remember reading about it on a flight from Boston to Orlando in a PC Gamer magazine. The premise is you are a soldier in the Civil War. Just before you are killed, you are plucked from the time line and told you aren’t supposed to be there. That you are from the future and an experiment was being conducted on you. You are then tasked to find and rescue others like you. From what I’ve seen this will take you through Pompeii, the Civil War and WWI just to name a few.
More info is FINALLY starting to trickle out about this game. Here is a weapon trailer telling you about the various weapons you’ll encounter in the game.
The incredible has been done. Marvel Vs Capcom 2 has been released, with online play, on the xbox 360. I was never an arcade contender, I’ll admit to that, but in my circle of friends, I was tops.

So me and Sean are actually working on a bonafide project. Something that will actually see the light of day. I’m not sure how much we can say about it just yet, but it should be known that something very interesting and fun is on the horizon and I think you all (my imaginary audience) will like it.
UPDATE: It seems setting your Xbox to 480p and normal screen settings helps a little bit with the blurry factor of the game but still doesn’t quite bring it up to the Wii version crispness.
Ah Mega Man 9, long awaited sequel to the one Mega Man series people my age grew up playing. Last we saw, our hero Mega Man was battling Wily in the 32-bit era with Mega Man 8. Waiting this long for a revival of the classic Mega Man series might have been one of the smartest decisions Capcom has ever made. Going back to the retro roots would be another, but there are many people who are disappointed thinking of the MM9 that could have been. Personally, I think it’s great they went back to the roots. ↓ Read the rest of this entry…

10 ) The police came knocking on my door with a warrant for its arrest
9 ) It failed at an attempt to start a Yo Mama joke game show
8 ) It started rumors about Paul Ruben exposing himself to children in a theater
7 ) It makes Micheal Jackson look like an othodox saint

UPDATE THE SECOND: Tried turning it on this morning…. it’s completely dead now. Get the disc making it’s, “I’ve got power” noise but no screen or anything.
UPDATE: AAAAAAAND it’s dead AGAIN. Playing ffxi and the screen shut off. No sounds nothing. Dead. I force power off and it comes up to the Apple loading screens and goes out AGAIN. I left a message for the rep. I am really, really annoyed with this. This will be a 5th repair. This is “THE WORST SERVICE” I have ever had. Apple really appears to not know how to fix anything…
Or in my case, not so much that I love it(hence the quotes in the title), but that it’s a necessity. Once again, my macbook pro had to be sent in for repairs. Twice. Again. That puts me at 4 repairs on this one laptop in the span of a year. You’d think they’d just replace it by now, but apparently not.
