Hello Californians.Have you noticed we’re in a crap-hole? Our debt is some insane number and the governator is trying to lower it by handing out pink slips like it’s Halloween.

For those who have no idea, pink slips are notices sent to non-tenure teachers, basically telling them, You are SO fired. And the worst part is they have a low chance of finding another teaching position at another school district–very low, unless they want to move to the boonies. Anyone who caught the pinky, I feel for you. It’s not your fault. It’s the way the system is structured. Even tenure teachers are afraid. That says a lot.

So, how is the state raising money for our dying state? Two words: PROMOTE GAMBLING. A couple of days ago, I heard a commercial on the radio about the California Lottery and that a percentage, millions, are spent on public education/schools. (I’m not really sure if they said education, but I wouldn’t put it past them if they didn’t.) And the spokeswoman said something along the lines of, go ahead, gamble, we’ll help you justify it–your losings go to public schools. It’s okay to go broke, you’re helping children continue their education.

Don’t get me wrong, millions of dollars do go into the schools–but not for the children’s education. They pay for the staff, remodels, miscellaneous, etc. None of it is provided to the teachers to purchase necessary items for their students. In fact, public school teachers receive an ‘allowance’ of $250 or LESS the entire school year. That’s $250 divided by 9 months. Can you live off of $250 for 9 months? Yeah, if you lived in Africa. So, a lot of items are provided by the teachers themselves. (Information given by an inside source. Teachers, why are you still teaching!?)

But, that isn’t the end of our idiotic state. This past November, the ‘casino’ bill passed. A few million idiots voted for it to pass. This was suppose to relinquish ‘hundreds of millions of dollars’ to public schools. Wait, hold up. Does this make sense to you? If the bill was passed to help pay for public schools, why is the public school system being brutally pummeled by the state? Something just doesn’t add up. Yes, I know it takes a while, but if they were anticipating hundreds of millions of dollars , wouldn’t they wait before pinking everyone? Governator, in the words of Cuba Gooding, Jr. WHERE IS THE MONEY?!?!?!!? Someone needs to pink him.

Any takers?
